INSIGHTS FROM CHINA: HOW TO MANAGE YOUR BUSINESS IN CHINA THROUGH COVID-19 AND BEYOND

The outbreak of COVID-19 has had a strong impact on businesses worldwide. In the battle against the virus, the Chinese Government has put forth a host of measures intended to support China-based businesses in getting back on their feet and to operate going forward during the next few months.

To efficiently operate in China today, it is necessary to know how to properly handle your investment and as to which government measures stand to support foreign investors.

In addition to the authoritative measures put forth to mitigate problems related COVID-19, it shall be further considered that on 1 January 2020, the new Foreign Investment Law of the People’s Republic of China (FIL) introduced important changes for foreign-invested enterprises.

For prospective investors in the Chinese market and for those investors that have established a company before 1 January 2020, it is necessary to understand the impact of FIL on their investment.

What’s more, the key to approaching and succeeding in the China market is to properly protect one trademark(s). Chinese rules and regulations on IPR protection are largely different from those applied outside of China. To stridently record and protect trademarks in China is at the heart of foreign-investment, today and for the future.

In the webinar, our professionals will analyse all the issues noted above to provide a concrete, up-to-date outline for successfully navigating the Chinese market today and post COVID-19.
